Bachelor of Education (B.ed)
Bacheloir of Education and it's a professional degree mandatory for teaching in government and most of the private schools in India. The B.Ed course duration is of two yeas. It's important to understand that B Ed or Bachelor of Education is not an undergraduate degree and to pursue this course one needs to have completed his/her graduation. Thus, B Ed is a professional course and right after completing this course, students can get a job at the school level. BEd fees in a majority of colleges range from INR 20,000 to INR 1,00,000.

Eligibility for B.Ed Course
The minimal requirement for a B.Ed programme is the completion of a degree such as B.A. (Bachelor of Arts), B.Sc (Bachelor of Science), or B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce) from a recognised Board or University.
The postgraduate B.Ed programme requires a minimum cumulative grade point average(GPA) of 55%.

Diploma in Education (D.ed)
DEd or Diploma in Education is a certificate-level teacher training programme that equips candidates to become nursery school teachers. The course basically caters to elementary-level education in India and is an important job-oriented programme in the field of education.
The duration of the DEd course varies from one to three years and the minimum duration to complete the course also varies from institute to institute. The course offers job roles such as Teacher, Tutor, Writer, and Academic coordinator, etc. DEd admission is usually offered based on candidates' performance in the written entrance test conducted at the university/ institute level. However, some institutions also offer direct admission to candidates on the basis of merit.
To be eligible for DEd admissions, candidates must have passed the Class 10+2 exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects, with a minimum 50 percent aggregate in the above mentioned courses. Some of the top entrance exams for DEd Courses are RIE CEE, PTET, DUET, IGNOU DEd Entrance, etc.
